A bike trail runs the entire length of the island.

The new (December 2008) Key-West style house at 231 Wheeler is on a small dead-end lane, with a lighthouse and beach at the beginning of the street and tennis courts and ball field at the end. A nature preserve is at the rear of the property. The beach has picnic tables and restrooms and offers some of the best shelling in Florida. The community center and public library are a few blocks away and downtown Boca Grande is just beyond that.

Enjoy the faint sounds of nature - owls at night, song birds and osprey during the day and the ever-present background sound of the surf. Sunsets over the Gulf are fabulous and can be viewed from the front porch.
